CONNECT KIDS



Our approach to children's ministry starts with a few basic beliefs:


We believe every parent wants to be a GREAT parent!

Moms and dads are the biggest influences in a child's life.

The church has the potential to be the biggest influence in a parent's life.


With those things in mind, our goal is to partner with parents in helping their children develop a healthy faith. Partnering with parents means we invest as much in the family as we do the child. It also means that children's ministry is more than just child care. It's an opportunity for loving adults to reinforce what parents are teaching their children throughout the week.


It's an intentional strategy that combines the two biggest influences in a child's spiritual development: The Family and The Church.




A SAFE, FUN & BIBLICAL ENVIRONMENT!

Every Sunday we work extra hard to make sure ConnectKIDS is a safe, clean and fun environment for your children. How do we do that? It starts with workers that have undergone a thorough criminal background check, and who have been trained to lead a safe and effective kids ministry. Additionally, our children's spaces are access-controlled; only approved workers can enter our children's area. You will drop off and pick up your child from the check in station in the basement hallway each Sunday.



A typical CONNECT KIDS service involves lots of laughing, singing, games and learning. Our curriculum is designed to teach three basic truths at each stage of childhood development:



BIRTH - 2 YEARS OLD  In keeping with AHS COVID regulations, we cannot offer ConnectKIDS nursery at this time. However, your little one is very welcome to sit with you in the adult service.


2 - 5 YEARS OLD  We want every preschooler to know these three things by the time they enter elementary school:

  • GOD MADE ME
  • GOD LOVES ME
  • JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FOREVER FRIEND

Every lesson, song, game, skit and interaction is designed to reinforce one of these three truths.



6 - 10 YEARS OLD  Just as with our preschoolers, we have three basic truths we want every child to know by the time they graduate elementary school:

  • I NEED TO MAKE THE WISE CHOICE
  • I SHOULD TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED
  • I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT

Can you imagine the impact these 6 truths would have on a child as they transition from their childhood to their teenage years? We believe an entire generation could be transformed!
